Actress Mao Daichi took on the role of one-day police chief at Yotsuya Police Station, part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, and called for traffic safety at an event in Shinjuku. She reviewed traffic rules and urged people to observe traffic regulations with consideration for others. The station chief said accidents tend to rise toward the end of the year, and guidance and enforcement would be stepped up.
