Midterm elections heat up Washington and shape the balance of power

Ahead of the US midterm elections, a Rasmussen poll shows the Democratic Party leading by five percentage points in the House race. A CBS poll gives the party an eight-point lead. The contest for control of the Senate is intense in key states including Michigan, Texas and Maine.
