Instead of stopping, Venerin allegedly accelerated, striking the officer during the encounter. The impact did not end the pursuit, as Venerin soon lost control, crashed, and fled the scene on foot. The situation grew more chaotic when Venerin ran into a nearby fast-food drive-thru, where investigators say he tried to enter multiple vehicles occupied by customers, raising concerns for public safety. Officers ultimately apprehended him without further incident. A search following the arrest reportedly uncovered a backpack containing a loaded handgun and illegal drugs, along with packaging materials suggesting distribution.
