Mounjaro Weight-Loss Use Spreads From South Korea to Japan: Price Gap and Health Risks

Use of the diabetes drug Mounjaro for weight loss is spreading rapidly worldwide, and South Korea has reported a 22-fold rise in prescriptions within a year. A reporting team visited a Seoul district known as a Mounjaro hub, where dozens of pharmacies sit close together and prescriptions are issued after brief consultations. The report also covers 'Sushi Jaro', the name used in Korea for cheaper Japanese Mounjaro, with some buyers travelling to a clinic in Fukuoka to purchase it.
