Residents evacuated from Oleshky arrive in northern Ukraine

Several residents evacuated from the southern Ukrainian town of Oleshky arrived by bus in Chernihiv Oblast. The town, occupied by Russia, has reportedly faced food shortages after supply routes were cut off since May. The residents left after a local ceasefire with Russia and plan to return home via Crimea and Belarus. The ceasefire, reportedly brokered with the help of the US first lady Melania Trump, is scheduled to end on the night of the 1st.

飢餓状態に陥っていたウクライナ南部の町・オレシュキの住民がロシアとの局地的な停戦を受けて避難し、ベラルーシを経由してウクライナ北部に到着しました。 　ウクライナ北部のチェルニヒウ州には31日、オレシュキから避難した複数の住民がバスで到着しました。 　住民は、ロシアとの局地的な停戦が始まった先月27日以降にオレシュキを出発した後、クリミア半島やベラルーシを経由して帰国する予定です。 　オレシュキには、およそ1700人の住民が取り残されているとみられていて、BBCによりますと、今回避難したのは最大で750人でした。 　オレシュキは2022年の侵攻当初からロシアに占領されています。 　今年5月以降は戦闘で物資の供給ルートが寸断され、住民が飢餓状態になったとされています。 　局地的な停戦は、アメリカのメラニア大統領夫人の働き掛けで実現し、現地時間の今月1日夜で終了する予定です。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
