Aid reaches Oleshky under local ceasefire as residents begin evacuations

A local ceasefire has taken effect in Oleshky, in Ukraine's southern Kherson region, allowing humanitarian delegations from Russia and Ukraine to deliver food and medicine. Residents who wished to leave have begun evacuating, and according to Reuters and other reports, some arrived in northern Crimea, which Russia occupies. Those heading to Ukrainian-controlled areas are due to enter Belarus first and then travel by bus into Ukraine. The ceasefire began on the 27th and is scheduled to last until the night of November 1 local time.
