You are public health | Oluwatomi Olunuga | TEDxOsogbo

Public health is often seen as the work of hospitals and ministries, but this TEDxOsogbo talk argues that it is shaped by everyday choices people make for themselves and for others. The speaker, Oluwatomi Olunuga, holds that everyone already acts as a public health actor, whether they recognise it or not. She is a public health and development professional with over nine years of experience in health, gender equality and the rights of women and girls in Nigeria and beyond. The talk was given at an independently organised TEDx event that follows the TED conference format. Olunuga founded Careers in Public Health and the MaleMatters Initiative, which engages men and boys in gender equity. Her work includes collaborations with UNFPA, Women Deliver and GSMA, and she is currently with Helium Health.
