Why I Want to Take You to the Countryside | Xingyu Wang | TEDxGrand School Qingdao Youth
This talk examines the current state of China's countryside and the challenges facing rural revitalization. Drawing on survey data, Xingyu Wang outlines two paths: bringing rural areas into the market and social division of labour through e-commerce and study tours, and accepting diverse forms of success instead of a single urban standard. He argues that AI tools will keep changing, but people's real needs, responsibilities and trust will not. The speaker also shares his own rural development work and encourages young people to visit and engage with the countryside directly.
