Russell Brand jury will not be shown TV documentary | BBC News
A judge has ruled that the jury in Russell Brand's rape trial will not be shown a Channel 4 Dispatches documentary that one complainant says led her to come forward. Mr Justice Bennathan said showing the programme would be unfair because its allegations have not been tested in court, but jurors will be told about it during the trial. Brand, 51, faces seven charges: three counts of rape, three charges of sexual assault and one of indecent assault. The allegations, made by six women, span 1999 to 2009. He denies all charges.
