Foreigners from 29 countries lured to Russia by fake job offers and sent to fight, UN report says
A UN Human Rights Council independent commission investigating Ukraine has published a report stating that Russian authorities lured foreign nationals with false job offers and mobilised them to fight against Ukraine. The report covers people from 29 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America. It says many had no military experience, did not understand Russian and were pressured into signing documents. The commission describes the practice as human trafficking, and says many victims were sent to the front and were killed or went missing.

(C) CABLE NEWS NETWORK 2026 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
