Winter Snow Crab Landing in Tottori: Top Brand Gokiboshi and 1.4 Million Yen First Auction

The seasonal landing of snow crab, a winter tradition on the Sea of Japan coast, has begun in Tottori Prefecture. This season 23 offshore bottom trawl boats went out, and four returned to Tottori Port early on the morning of November 7. Four crabs of the top brand Gokiboshi, which meets five standards, were landed. The highest price at this season's first auction was 1.4 million yen.
