FSA inspects Sony Financial Group over Sony Life money case
Japan's Financial Services Agency has conducted an on-site inspection of Sony Financial Group, the parent company of Sony Life Insurance, over former sales staff receiving money from customers. Several former sales employees reportedly received more than 180 million yen in total, and the agency has been inspecting Sony Life since September. The agency is examining the parent company's management structure and information sharing with its subsidiary. Depending on the findings, it plans to issue administrative actions such as business improvement orders.
