The Last Mammoth, or Those Who Were Unlucky Because of Us | Martin Škorpík | TEDxOlomouc
Martin Škorpík, a member of the staff of Podyjí National Park, which he helped establish, describes his work with colleagues and the ČSOP Morava organisation to slow the loss of steppe habitats in southern Moravia. He is interested in how nature and landscape developed during the Quaternary period and enjoys discussing it with others. His research also covers beetles, particularly weevils, which he studies across Europe, nearby Asia and Africa. The talk was given at an independently organised TEDx event.
