Taiwan travel fair: 126 Japanese regions and organisations take part

A large travel fair was held in Taiwan on the 6th, where local governments from across Japan, including Hokkaido and Okinawa, promoted their destinations. This year, 126 Japanese regions and organisations took part in the event. The report notes that Japan travel remains popular in Taiwan, with visitor numbers from Taiwan in July exceeding 760,000, the highest monthly total on record. Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te also toured the Japanese booths.

台湾で6日に大規模な旅行博覧会が開かれ、日本からも北海道や沖縄など各地の自治体が魅力をアピールしました。 　台湾の大規模な博覧会には例年、観光PRのために各国が出展し、日本からも今年は126の地域や組織が参加しました。 　台湾では円安の影響もあって日本旅行ブームが続いていて、日本政府観光局のまとめでは、今年7月の台湾からの訪日客は76万人を超え、1カ月の人数では過去最多でした。 来場者 「（Q.日本旅行は何回行った？）8回です。全部今年です。日本がとても楽しいからです。食べ物がおいしいし、日本人は親切だし、お酒もおいしいですね」 　博覧会には台湾の頼清徳総統も参加し、日本各地のブースなど、会場内を熱心に回っていました。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
