Government forces retake positions in Eqroud as Houthis try to advance in Lahij

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Yemeni government aircraft intensified air operations over Taiz city since the previous evening. According to field sources, strikes targeted areas in Al-Msarakh and Eqroud south of the governorate, as well as other areas west of Taiz. Fighting continues on the Eqroud front, where the government announced it had regained control of villages and positions held by the Houthi movement. The move could strengthen government positions and give access to strategic heights overlooking Taiz, especially around Mount Sabr.
