Government forces repel Houthi attacks as humanitarian crisis deepens in Taiz

Clashes continue on the western front of Taiz governorate in Yemen, as the Houthi group attempts to bring in military reinforcements to impose a full siege on the city and close its main routes via Al-Dabab road. Government forces say they repelled Houthi attacks in the western coast and southern and western countryside, and report airstrikes that they say disabled Houthi capabilities. Food, health and fuel supply chains have reportedly halted, with hospitals warning their medical stocks may run out. Al Jazeera correspondent Hadeel Al-Yamani reports from Taiz.
