Government forces advance in Taiz as humanitarian situation worsens amid Houthi escalation

Al Jazeera correspondent Maha Ali, reporting from Taiz, says Yemeni government forces have made gains on the western front of the city with air support. The humanitarian situation is deteriorating as people are forcibly displaced and more than 200 homes have been destroyed, according to the report. Medical sources warn of a health catastrophe as fuel and medicine run out. Human Rights Watch states that the Houthi bombing of the Hajjat al-Abd road amounts to a war crime.
