The Incredible Joy of Being Small | Katie Biber | TEDxSFUHS Youth
Students are often told they are destined to change the world, and that expectation can feel crushing. In this TEDxSFUHS Youth talk, Katie Biber, Chief Legal Officer at Paradigm, argues for letting that pressure go. She suggests that a good life and real impact come from millions of small daily moments rather than a few big ones. Biber's background includes work as Chief Legal Officer at Brex, General Counsel at Anchorage, an early lawyer role at Airbnb, and earlier work as a political and election lawyer. The talk was given at an independently organized TEDx event.

Students are told they’re destined to change the world, and that pressure can become crushing. Katie makes the case for letting it go: a good life and real impact come from millions of small daily moments, not a few big ones. Katie Biber is Chief Legal Officer at Paradigm, leading the firm’s legal, regulatory, compliance, and policy functions. She joined Paradigm from Brex, where she also served as Chief Legal Officer. Previously, she was General Counsel at a16z-backed Anchorage, the first crypto-native custody and trading platform for institutional investors. She was also an early lawyer at Airbnb, where she managed US regulatory and litigation issues. Earlier in her career, Katie worked as a political and election lawyer, representing candidates, political party committees, and nonprofit groups in high-stakes enforcement actions, congressional investigations, and litigation. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
