TSUKUTSUKU, the operator of Japanese online shopping mall ツクツク!!!, has said that unauthorized third-party access may have leaked about 20,000 credit card records, including security codes. The possible exposure covers users who newly registered cards on the mall between May 10 and September 9 of last year. The issue came to light in September last year after a card company reported unauthorized use. The company said the announcement was delayed over a year because coordination with relevant parties took longer than expected. Users are urged to check for charges they do not recognize.
