Typhoon No. 30 hits Ishigaki Island, 1,980 households without power in city (Oct 23, 2026)

Strong Typhoon No. 30 is expected to make its closest approach to the Sakishima Islands on the afternoon of October 23, and Ishigaki Island is now inside its storm zone. Wind and rain have been intensifying over the island, and flights linking Ishigaki with Naha and other destinations were cancelled for the whole day. Ferry services to nearby outlying islands were also suspended. According to Okinawa Electric Power, 1,980 households in Ishigaki City were without power as of 11:00 a.m. on the 23rd.

大型で強い勢力の台風30号は、23日午後にも先島諸島に最接近する見込みです。暴風域に入っている石垣島から報告です。 　石垣島では、台風の接近に伴い朝方は雨や風が強まったり弱まったりを繰り返していましたが、ここ2時間ほどは、強い雨や風の時間が長くなってきています。 　今回の台風の接近で、島の生活にも大きな影響が出ています。 　石垣島と那覇などを結ぶ空の便は終日欠航となっており、周辺の離島を結ぶ定期船も全便で運航を取りやめています。 　また、沖縄電力によりますと、石垣市内では23日午前11時現在、1980戸で停電が発生しているということです。 　石垣島はこれから台風の最接近を迎える見込みで、引き続き、雨や風に対する厳重な警戒が必要です。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
