Typhoon No. 30 brings violent winds to Okinawa, injuries, fallen trees and power outages; JAL and ANA cancel flights

Typhoon No. 30, a large and strong storm, brought violent winds to Okinawa Prefecture, causing injuries and fallen trees. On the afternoon of the 23rd, a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 51.7 meters per second was recorded at Ohara on Iriomote Island, the highest October value on record. Evacuation orders were issued for all of Ishigaki and Miyako cities, among other areas. According to Okinawa Electric Power, about 15,000 households were without power as of 5 a.m. on the 24th, and JAL and ANA cancelled flights affecting more than 4,600 people. The typhoon is expected to approach and possibly make landfall in Kyushu on the 25th.

大型で強い台風30号の影響で沖縄県では猛烈な風が吹きけが人が出たほか、倒木などの被害が出ています。 　台風30号の接近に伴い23日午後、西表島の大原で最大瞬間風速51.7メートルを観測し、10月の観測史上最大を記録しました。 　沖縄県ではこれまでに宮古島市で70代の女性が風にあおられて転倒し、右足の骨を折る大けがをしました。 　石垣市内では風の影響で信号機が壊れたほか、街路樹が倒れるなどの被害が出ています。 　また、石垣市と宮古島市の全域などに避難指示が出されています。 　沖縄電力によりますと、24日午前5時時点で石垣市や竹富町などで約1万5千戸が停電しています。 　空の便には欠航も出ています。 　日本航空は、台湾を発着する国際線5便と那覇や石垣などを発着する国内線の20便、全日空は宮古などを発着する15便の欠航を決めていて、合わせて4600人余りに影響が出ています。 　大型で強い台風30号は午前5時現在、与那国島の北西、約50キロの海上にほとんど停滞しています。沖縄は夕方ごろまで荒れた天気となる予想です。 　台風はこの後、勢力を弱めながら北上し、25日には九州に接近し上陸する恐れがあります。 　九州付近は秋雨前線が停滞しているため、台風が近付く前から大雨になるとみられています。 　25日朝にかけて降る雨の量は九州北部の多い所で250ミリの予想です。 　さらに26日にかけて活発な雨雲が列島を通過し、関東などでも警報級の大雨となる恐れがあります。土砂災害などに警戒してください。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
