Axios: US blockade has cost Tehran $25 billion in oil revenue - Press Review

Citing Axios, US Central Command said Iran-backed militias have begun transferring money to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which is facing financial strain that is affecting its ability to pay soldiers. The naval blockade and US sanctions are cited as causes. CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper said the blockade has deprived Tehran of $25 billion in oil revenue. Washington fears rising Iranian attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz could deter shipping companies and push up oil prices, as talks on a US proposal to end the war continue.
