Description from TEDx Talks

In her talk, Nisreen flips the lens on how we look at choices. Instead of just focusing on the person making the call, she peers into the perspective of the decision itself—exploring its weight, its hidden rewards, and its heavy responsibility. By blending personal stories with this unique twist, she reveals what it truly feels like to stand at a crossroads from both sides of the experience. Nisreen is a writer, theatre director, and educator with 25+ years of experience exploring how narrative shapes identity, memory, and human connection across classroom, stage, and page. She holds an MA in Philosophy (Islamic Aesthetics) and a BA in English Literature from AUB, along with a Teaching Diploma from Haigazian University. A director of 15+ theatrical productions, she has taught Literature, Philosophy, and Theatre across top institutions including AUB, LAU, RHU, IC, and SABIS. Her publications span poetry, essays, short fiction, and textbooks, with current work focusing on modern isolation and women’s inner lives. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
