About this videoWritten by AI from the source information

Ronda Carnegie, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Project Dandelion, looks at how women sharing their knowledge can change lives and communities. Her talk traces how a circle of women discussing what they wished they had known at 16 led her to work across continents, from India and Ethiopia to Uganda and Colombia. The central argument is that trust and connection allow knowledge to change the world, and that solutions may already exist in the wisdom of women whose voices are often overlooked.

Description from TEDx Talks

What if some of the world's most powerful solutions are already here, held in the wisdom of women whose voices too often go unheard? When Ronda Carnegie gathered a circle of women to share what they wished they'd known at 16 with her young daughter, she discovered something that would take her across continents: knowledge can change lives, but trust and connection are what allow it to change the world. From India and Ethiopia to Uganda and Colombia, Ronda reveals what becomes possible when women share what they know — and why the future may depend less on finding new answers than on recognizing the wisdom already among us. Ronda Carnegie is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Project Dandelion, a global, women-led initiative that mobilizes collective leadership for a climate-safe, livable world. As a member of TED's leadership team, she helped transform TED from a conference into a global platform for ideas by building global partnerships, co-founding TEDWomen, and creating the TED Institute to surface untapped ideas and voices within organizations. Her career has spanned media, business, and social innovation, including leadership roles at The New Yorker and The Female Quotient. Across this work runs a common belief: transformative ideas and solutions already exist, and connection can help them change the world. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
