Military expert: Yemen sees attrition on multiple fronts, no decisive military outcome at this stage

Military and strategy analyst Brigadier General Ali al-Dhahab assesses the current situation in Yemen. According to his analysis, Houthi strikes on airports aim to move the confrontation into the political arena and push peace initiatives. He says widening front-line clashes are leading to a war of attrition and mutual deterrence rather than a near-term military victory. He also notes that government forces are holding active defensive positions in Lahj and al-Wazi'iyah while awaiting the outcome of the coalition's strategic plan. Source: Al Jazeera Arabic.
