Government, Houthis and Iran: a new equation in the Yemeni conflict?

Yemeni writer and political analyst Abdullah Ismail, speaking to Al Jazeera, says the Yemeni government rejects Iranian intervention. He argues that the Iranian initiative ignores the legitimate Yemeni government and seeks to frame the conflict as one between Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Ismail states that the Houthi group does not represent Yemen and that the internationally recognised government is the party with legitimacy. He adds that any initiative excluding a core party to the conflict cannot be approached positively.
