Description from TEDx Talks

What if... the person you were meant to become isn't the person everyone expects you to be? Who shaped us into the people we want to be? Now I want you guys to think about it for a moment. Then, picture this. An elite boarding school. Generations of students prepared to become doctors, lawyers, even engineers — people who will eventually become somebody. A student at Cahaya Rancamaya with a passion for movies, books, and storytelling. She is curious about individuality, success, and the expectations society places on young people. After an unsuccessful attempt to join TEDx in Grade 10, she tried again the following year and earned a place in the program. Through her TEDx talk, she hopes to challenge conventional definitions of success and encourage others to discover their own paths to fulfillment. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
