[Police 24 Hours] Helicopter Captures Fleeing Woman! Rams Through Police Cars, Bumper Torn Off… Arrest by Helicopter and Ground Units

An original cut of a 2015 Fuji TV documentary episode of "Police 24 Hours" shows the Kyoto Prefectural Police air unit helicopter tracking a woman who fled in a white domestic luxury car. Working with ground patrol cars, officers closed in on her in a residential side street. After the car broke through a patrol car, she abandoned it and ran on foot. Even after officers detained her, she resisted strongly, and eight officers wrapped her in a blanket and escorted her away. Narration is by Shoichiro Mori. 京都の空を守るスペシャリスト集団、京都府警航空隊。ヘリコプターを巧みに操り、上空から事件や事故に対応する“空の警察官”だ。 この日、京都府内をパトロール中のヘリに緊急無線が飛び込んだ。地上のパトカーが、白い高級国産車を追跡しているという。航空隊は上空200メートルから、渋滞する道路と入り組んだ住宅街を見下ろし、わずかな情報を頼りに逃走車を捜索する。 追跡するパトカーを手がかりに、ついに航空隊が白い車を捕捉。ここから、空と陸が連携した包囲網が一気に狭まっていく。 逃走車が入り込んだのは、住宅街の細い路地。後ろからパトカーが迫り、前方からも別のパトカーが進路を塞ぐ。万事休すかと思われた次の瞬間、女はアクセルを踏み込んだ。 車はパトカーに激突しながら強行突破。その衝撃でバンパーを吹き飛ばし、それでもなお逃走を続ける。やがて女は車を乗り捨て、今度は徒歩で逃げ出した。 警察官がすぐに追いつき、女の身柄を確保。しかし、女は地面に倒れ込んだまま足をばたつかせ、警察官を狙って蹴り飛ばすなど激しく抵抗する。急に静かになったかと思えば、再び暴れ出す異常な興奮状態。男性警察官でも押さえ込むのに苦労するほどだった。 上空では航空隊が状況を把握し、地上では応援のパトカーが次々と集結。暴れる女がけがをしないよう、最後は警察官8人がかりで毛布にくるみ、慎重に連行した。 上空200メートルから逃走車を捉え、地上部隊と連携して追い詰めた京都府警航空隊。パトカー強行突破、徒歩逃走、そして大暴れの末の確保。空と陸が一体となった、緊迫の逮捕劇。 【ナレーション】 森昭一郎
