We talk a lot about who has access to healthcare. But who gets the chance to become the person providing it? Drawing from Mimi Hudson's own journey into healthcare, She explores how barriers to entering the healthcare workforce may be one of the most overlooked barriers to achieving health equity. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mimihudson99/ IG:@mimi_bowman_ // #medicine #healthequity #premedprePA #TEDxSanDiego #TEDx #MooresCancerCenter #UCSD Mimi Hudson is a Clinical Research Coordinator with over five years of experience in healthcare. She earned her degree in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon and currently works at UCSD Health Moores Cancer Center as part of the Gynecologic Oncology Clinical Research team, where she supports clinical trials focused on advancing treatment options for women with cancer. She is particularly drawn to clinical research for the opportunities it creates for patients—expanding access to innovative therapies and providing care options that may not otherwise be available. As an aspiring PA, Mimi is deeply committed to advancing equitable, inclusive healthcare. She is especially passionate about improving access, outcomes, and representation for women, communities of color, Indigenous populations, and other historically marginalized groups who continue to face systemic disparities in care. Her work is grounded in the belief that high-quality healthcare should be accessible to all. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
