* (Disclaimer: The content in this video is intended for educational and informational purposes only) St. Petersburg, Florida — On August 22, 2026, St. Petersburg Police were called to a home on 5th Street North after a family member requested a welfare check on 48-year-old Brian Michael Pepal. The situation quickly escalated when Pepal came outside and attacked Officers Daniel Poveda and Tammy Craig. Investigators said the confrontation became a violent struggle, with both officers being pushed into vehicles and injured as they attempted to gain control of Pepal. The officers deployed Tasers and eventually brought him to the ground, where they handcuffed and restrained him. Shortly afterward, Pepal became unresponsive. Officers immediately began CPR and other lifesaving efforts before paramedics transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:04 p.m. An autopsy determined that Pepal's manner of death was homicide, with traumatic asphyxiation listed as the cause and restraint, coronary atherosclerosis, obesity and schizophrenia identified as contributing conditions. Investigators said the combination of the physical struggle, Pepal's position during the restraint and his underlying medical conditions contributed to the loss of breathing, while finding no evidence that either officer applied pressure to his neck. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and State Attorney's Office subsequently reviewed the incident, including body-camera footage, witness statements, physical evidence and medical findings. Both concluded that the officers' actions were lawful and that the death constituted an excusable homicide under Florida law. The State Attorney's Office also determined that although the officers could have been legally justified in using deadly force during the attack, they instead used Tasers and physical restraint. The officers were medically cleared, while the St. Petersburg Police Department continues its internal review. 🚨𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠. ⚠️𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡.⚠️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'William Prowse IV' - 'Clood' - Efrain - 'The Fraternal Order book' - 'Quân La' - 'Zixuno' - 'Rate A Creator with Omar Alkahlout' - 'Forever A Loner' - KHALID - Michael Griffin - John Doe - 'Twitchypowpow' - Rose - Tyrell Robertson - christine Grinter - 'The Evil Queen' - Benjamin Osgood - LJ - Elisabeth Craig - Bobby Roach - Cody Stephens - Troy Polansky - Tulla Belle - 'quadrakyiro' - "John B.
