Un hombre murió tras caer de la montaña rusa Goliath, un hypercoaster del parque Six Flags Over Georgia, en Atlanta. An investigation is underway as a man died Monday after falling from a rollercoaster in Atlanta, Ga. While riding Six Flags Over Goergia’s 200-foot tall ‘Goliath’ "hypercoaster" — which was introduced in 2006 — the victim came loose from his seat, and according to one witness, flew out of the ride, as it was descending, then hit the coaster car “head-first” again, as it ascended up a hill, before falling to his death. Several other passengers were reportedly injured as the man tumbled over them. Park staff and rescue crews evacuated the remaining riders before Goliath was closed indefinitely. Meanwhile, Six Flags has temporarily closed nine rollercoasters across six of its amusement parks – including both Behemoth and Leviathan at Canada’s Wonderland – adding that attractions similar to Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia were temporarily closed, too, out of an abundance of caution. Additionally, the Goliath rollercoaster at Montreal’s La Ronde has temporarily shut down. Though Six Flags no longer owns the park, it is still responsible for its attractions. The park says the rollercoaster will remain closed until a thorough inspection is conducted with the manufacturer to ensure the ride is safe for public use.
