NOTE FROM TED: This talk only represents the speaker’s personal views and understanding of breathwork, energy, and healing. Several theories and practices discussed lack sufficient scientific support. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelines.pdf What if you don't have to feel brave before you begin? Sharani takes us through a deeply personal journey of fear, rejection, stage fright, uncertainty, and transformation. From being terrified of public speaking for years to stepping onto stages, creating new experiences and helping others find their own breakthroughs, she explores a powerful possibility: perhaps courage doesn't come before action — perhaps it catches up after we take the first step. Through the story of a tiny nightingale carrying two drops of water toward a forest fire, Sharani asks us to consider what our own “two drops” might be. She also challenges the way we see the obstacles, critics, and setbacks in our lives — perhaps what looks like a villain is sometimes simply a GPS, recalculating our direction. Sharani is a UK-based entrepreneur and business leader with a Master's degree in Business Administration from Newcastle University, United Kingdom. Passionate about innovation, leadership, and creating meaningful impact, she has built a reputation for driving strategic growth, fostering entrepreneurship, and empowering organisations through visionary leadership. With a strong foundation in international business and management, Sharani combines global perspectives with practical business insights to inspire sustainable growth and transformative leadership. Her work reflects a commitment to excellence, innovation, and creating opportunities that empower individuals and communities. An advocate for women in leadership and entrepreneurship, Sharani is passionate about mentoring future leaders and promoting inclusive growth. She continues to inspire aspiring professionals to embrace resilience, purpose-driven leadership, and innovation in an ever-evolving global landscape. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
