Cher calcul, tu avais tort | Allegra Savegnago | TEDxEscola Concept Ribeirão Preto

In this TEDx presentation, Allegra Savegnago reflects on how mathematics teaches that dividing means decreasing, while life shows that dividing can actually mean multiplying. The speaker shares her experience of creating a project to teach public speaking and communication classes at another school, overcoming initial hesitation and realizing that sharing her ideas, experiences, and knowledge expanded her own learning. She also introduces the "Protégé Effect," studied by scientist John Nestojko, to demonstrate that learning with the intention of teaching others enables a deeper, more organized, and critical understanding of the material. Allegra invites the audience to redefine the concept of division, reminding us that while dividing numbers reduces values, sharing potential, dreams, knowledge, and affection serves to multiply generosity and love.
