Breaking News: YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has been released after being detained ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)’s proposed protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Reports citing police officials say Rathee was detained at his Gurugram residence on Saturday, October 10, as police moved to prevent protesters from gathering at the planned demonstration site. The protest was called over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police had cited restrictions and the lack of permission for the planned gathering. Rathee’s release comes amid a wider police operation in Delhi, where protesters and several political leaders were detained as security was tightened around central Delhi. Police sources have also warned that further action could be taken if restrictions are violated.
