“Every Month, Same Story!” Gurugram Athletes Fume Over CM’s Chopper Parking | N18

GURUGRAM: Athletes are raising concerns over repeated disruptions to their training as VIP helicopter operations affect access to Tau Devi Lal Stadium. The latest incident has sparked fresh questions after Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s official helicopter remained parked at the sports complex for four days, leaving athletes unable to use the athletics track and inner synthetic ground. According to reports, athletes say helicopter parking is a recurring problem, with the stadium’s athletics facilities reportedly becoming inaccessible for a day or two in many months. For runners and other track-and-field athletes, losing valuable practice time can affect their preparation for upcoming competitions. The latest episode has also renewed the debate over the use of public sports infrastructure for VIP helicopter operations. While security restrictions were cited as the reason for closing the affected areas, the incident has prompted athletes and coaches to call for an alternative arrangement that does not interfere with regular training. #Gurugram #Haryana #SportsNews #VIPCulture n18oc_breakingnews CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
