Description de TEDx Talks

Jaime Campbell reframes what it takes to see someone as a whole person, drawn from her own story of diagnosis and love. Jaime Campbell is a Certified Peer Support Worker and disability advocate who began volunteering with children with disabilities at age 12, learning ASL along the way. At 19, she began her own journey with schizophrenia. After marrying her husband Jon, who lived with autism and psychosis and passed away due to gaps in specialized care, Jaime committed herself to bridging the mental illness and developmental disability communities. She's now completing her MSW. Her talk walks through her own story of diagnosis and love, and asks what it really takes to see someone as a whole person. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
