Making the announcement, Adityanath expressed the Cabinet’s gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the airport, describing it as a major infrastructure project for Uttar Pradesh. The proposed name links the airport’s identity to the Prime Minister, whose government has highlighted infrastructure development and improved connectivity as key priorities.
