Two mental health professionals from the Capitol Region Mental Health Center requested that Hartford police officers accompany them as they responded to Walker’s apartment building located at 990 Capitol Avenue in Hartford. They arrived at the building at approximately 10:08 a.m. The mental health workers, along with several police officers, then attempted to speak to Walker at his apartment on the third floor of the building to assess whether he needed medical assistance or presented a danger to himself or others. Present as well was Walker’s son and one of his daughters. Walker’s spouse also arrived at the apartment during the incident. The mental health professional spoke to Walker from the hallway through the open door of the apartment. Several police officers subsequently entered the apartment but retreated when they became concerned that Walker might throw a pot of boiling water at them. Additional discussions between officers and the various parties continued. At approximately 10:58 a.m., Hartford police officers reentered the apartment when Walker attempted to close the apartment door and was being physically restrained by his son. A physical altercation began between police officers, Walker and his two children. The Hartford police officers involved in the altercation included Officers Alexander Clifford and Geovanny Rivera. During the altercation, Walker brandished a knife. One or more officers ordered Walker to drop the knife, but he did not do so. Walker appeared to be poised to stab Officer Rivera who had fallen backwards. Officer Clifford then fired several shots from his department-issued firearm. Walker suffered several gunshot wounds, received medical attention at the scene, and was later pronounced dead at Saint Francis Hospital. A portion of the incident was captured on video taken by Walker’s daughter on an iPad. 🚨𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠. ⚠️𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡.⚠️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse' - 'Based Asuka' - 'The Evil Queen' - Benjamin Osgood - Gary Wilson - LJ - Chase - Tavia Shields - Edward Aquino - Brianna Wilkins - Eian Smith - brandon - William - Hunter - Cammy - Elisabeth Craig - Bobby Roach - Sarin Dipity - Becky Hopkins - thomas - Cody Stephens - Troy Polansky - Tulla Belle - 'quadrakyiro' - Scott Mackin - "John B.
