Public health isn't something that only happens in hospitals and ministries. This talk argues that it's built or broken in the everyday choices we make for ourselves and each other, and that everyone is already a public health actor, whether they have realized it or not. Oluwatomi Olunuga is a public health and development professional with over nine years of experience advancing health, gender equality, and the rights of women and girls across Nigeria and beyond. She is the founder of Careers in Public Health, which has supported over 3,400 students and professionals through mentorship and career development, and of the MaleMatters Initiative, which engages men and boys as partners in gender equity. Her work with organizations including UNFPA, Women Deliver, and GSMA, alongside her current role at Helium Health, has earned her recognitions including the Diana Award and a place on She Leads Africa's Top 50 Rising Moguls list. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
