Cette intervention TEDxHamamatsu présente la valeur des textiles d'Enshu, une région de tissage de la préfecture de Shizuoka, au Japon. Le conférencier, Masaki Matsushita, né à Hamamatsu, dirige HUIS, une marque de vêtements basée dans la région d'Enshu. Il explique avoir découvert ces textiles en travaillant pour l'administration locale et constaté qu'ils étaient peu connus, y compris dans la région. Il évoque les tissus tissés sur des métiers traditionnels, le savoir-faire des artisans et l'histoire du territoire.

【 産地がひらく、無限に楽しい服の世界 】 松下昌樹 遠州織物/地域産業の翻訳者 1980年生まれ、静岡県浜松市出身。 遠州発のアパレルブランド「HUIS（ハウス）」代表。行政職員として地域産業に関わる中で遠州織物と出会い、世界に誇るその価値が、地域でも十分に知られていない現実に課題を感じる。旧式織機が生む生地の豊かさや職人の技術、産地の歴史や風景を発信し続ける。大量生産とは異なるものづくりのあり方から、地域産業とアパレルの未来を考える。 著書に『HUIS.の服づくり』『産地発アパレルという選択』。 Born in 1980 and originally from Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Masaki Matsushita is the representative of HUIS, an apparel brand based in the Enshu region. While working for the local government in a role connected with regional industry, he encountered Enshu textiles and became concerned that their world-class value was not sufficiently recognized, even within the region itself. Through HUIS, he continues to share the richness of fabrics woven on traditional looms, the skills of local craftspeople, and the history and landscapes of the textile-producing region.His work offers an alternative to mass production and explores how this kind of manufacturing could shape the future of both regional industry and locally made apparel This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
