Nothing ever happens in Suffolk. The county reaches us at two speeds: the postcard, where little changes, and the foam of events where everything happens at once. Between them, quietly, Suffolk is being remade. We know this but do not recognise what we see. This talk takes one familiar sentence and through one very old word asks whether this has anything to do with luck. David is Head of Business and Law at the University of Suffolk. David sees himself as an educator dedicated to helping students to learn effectively within the social sciences. He has a keen interest in social change, social theory and the study of materiality.
