NIA INVESTIGATES FLYDUBAI HIJACK ATTEMPT: India’s National Investigation Agency has registered a case invoking Section 3 of the Anti-Hijacking Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in connection with the attempted hijacking of Flydubai flight FZ1073, which was travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The incident took place on September 30, 2026, when the aircraft’s co-pilot allegedly attacked Indian Captain Smit Machchhar in the cockpit and attempted to seize control of the plane. The aircraft experienced a sharp loss of altitude before the situation was brought under control with the help of other pilots, crew members and passengers. It eventually made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. #NIA #Flydubai #AntiHijackingAct #UAPA n18oc_breakingnews CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
