The suspect was later identified as 33-year-old Alejandro Garcia. The reporting party stated that Garcia, armed with a metal bat, had shattered the windows of multiple vehicles and attempted to strike passing community members. As officers approached the location, the overhead air unit advised the officers that Garcia was walking southbound on Normandie Avenue beneath the Interstate 10 Freeway. Officers located Garcia walking toward them while holding an aluminum bat in his right hand. After exiting their patrol vehicle, officers repeatedly ordered Garcia to drop the bat. Garcia refused to comply with verbal direction, continued advancing toward the officers, and raised the bat with both hands into a swinging position resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS). Garcia was struck once, fell to the ground, and dropped the bat. Officers formed an arrest team, took Garcia into custody, and immediately rendered medical aid until personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and assumed care. Garcia was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. A 35-inch aluminum softball bat was recovered at the scene and booked as evidence. No officers or community members were injured during the incident. 🚨𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠. ⚠️𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡.⚠️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'William Prowse IV' - 'Quân La' - 'Zixuno' - 'HauntSync.com' - 'Rate A Creator with Omar Alkahlout' - 'Forever A Loner' - KHALID - Michael Griffin - John Doe - 'Twitchypowpow' - Rose - Tyrell Robertson - christine Grinter - 'The Evil Queen' - Benjamin Osgood - LJ - Brianna Wilkins - Elisabeth Craig - Bobby Roach - Cody Stephens - Troy Polansky - Tulla Belle - 'quadrakyiro' - "John B.
