Drawing on years inside local, national and international newsrooms, this talk exposes the everyday newsroom practices that quietly shape public perception. A compelling look at media bias, journalism and the stories society chooses to tell. Nina is a prestigious Peabody Award winner for her journalism working on global news and international current affairs for the BBC World Service. She is recipient of a Foreign Press Association prize for her programme on south-side Chicago’s dog fighting scene and was temporarily based in Kingston, Jamaica as a foreign correspondent.
