This talk takes us through her remarkable journey in mountaineering, from discovering her passion for the mountains to taking on some of the world’s most challenging climbs, including Mount Everest. Through the highs, setbacks, preparation, and perseverance behind every expedition, she reveals that reaching the summit is only a small part of the journey. Her talk, “The Everest Within,” explores how true success is built long before the final climb, through discipline, resilience, consistency, and the courage to keep going when the goal still feels far away. Saanika Shah has redefined what it means to chase ambitious dreams. She is the first and the youngest Indian to summit Mt. Himlung Himal. A Mount Everest summiteer, endurance athlete, actor, and professionally trained Bharatanatyam dancer, she is among the few Indian women seamlessly blending the worlds of adventure and performing arts. With over 11 major climbing expeditions, including Mount Kilimanjaro, and Mount Elbrus, along with completing a 50 km ultra marathon, Saanika's journey is a testament to resilience, discipline, and perseverance. Through her inspiring story, she encourages others to push beyond their limits and turn seemingly impossible dreams into reality.
