But we have to pay attention to this. Recently, Texas authorities arrested a midwife for allegedly providing abortion care. We don't have many details as of right now, but we HAVE to talk about the terrifying slippery slope that this sort of government overreach into healthcare could trigger. Even if preventing people from accessing abortions is the main issue about which you are passionate, I promise it won't stop here. Allowing the government to dictate the practice of medicine means they will just keep trying it, in new and more horrifying ways, until some procedure or medicine or practice that you or a loved one desperately needs is no longer available to you.
