JNU DISMISSES BIMOL AKOIJAM: Jawaharlal Nehru University has dismissed Congress MP and professor Angomcha Bimol Akoijam from university service with immediate effect following an internal inquiry into sexual harassment allegations. The Vice-Chancellor’s order states that the university’s Internal Committee recommended “major punishment” after examining the complaints. CNN-News18 has accessed the inquiry findings, bringing renewed attention to the university’s decision and the questions surrounding the case. The case has reportedly involved complaints from 11 women students. Akoijam, who represents Inner Manipur in the Lok Sabha, has challenged the process, described the controversy as a “witch hunt” and demanded evidence. His response is an important part of the developing story as the university’s findings and his objections remain in focus. #BimolAkoijam #JNU #Congress #CNNNews18 #Manipur #JNUControversy #PoliticalAccountability #BreakingNews n18oc_therightstand CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
