Trump, Ohio Mitinginde Ilhan Omar ve Abdul El-Sayed'i Hedef Aldı

ABD Başkanı Donald Trump, 12 Ekim'de Ohio eyaletinin Youngstown kentindeki bir seçim mitinginde Demokrat Temsilciler Meclisi üyesi Ilhan Omar ve Michigan Senato adayı Abdul El-Sayed'i eleştirdi. Mitingdeki destekçiler defalarca "deport" sloganı attı. Trump, Omar'ın Washington bölgesindeki evinin federal ajanlar tarafından yargı onaylı bir arama emriyle aranmasının ardından Omar'a "bir felaket" dedi. Omar, yönetimin federal kolluk güçlerini siyasi rakiplerine karşı kullandığını savunuyor.

US President Donald Trump attacked Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar and Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed during a campaign rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on October 12, as supporters repeatedly chanted “deport.” Trump called Omar “a disaster” just hours after federal agents searched her Washington-area home under a judicially authorised warrant as part of an ongoing federal investigation. The Justice Department did not publicly detail the investigation in its initial statement. Omar has accused the Trump administration of using federal law enforcement to target political opponents. Trump also targeted El-Sayed, the Democratic Senate nominee in Michigan, calling him a “jihadist” during his remarks. El-Sayed, who was born in Michigan to Egyptian immigrant parents, has criticised attacks that focus on his name and Muslim faith. The remarks come amid heightened political tensions ahead of the US midterm elections.
