يتحدث إحسان بيما بوترا، وهو طالب في Cahaya Rancamaya، في محاضرة TEDxCRIBS Youth عن أهمية إعادة اكتشاف الذات قبل أن تشكّلها توقعات العالم. ويرى أن على الإنسان أن يفهم هويته الخاصة قبل أن يقرر كيف يقود أو يسعى إلى التميز أو يترك أثرًا دائمًا. وتشجع المحاضرة الشباب على النظر إلى داخلهم أولًا ليخطوا نحو المستقبل بوصفهم أنفسهم. ويقول المتحدث إنه واصل المحاولة بعد إخفاقات كثيرة، وأن كل محاولة ساعدته على فهم طريقه.

We all want to be great. We all want to lead, to be big, and to know that our lives matter to the people around us—or even to the whole world. But before you can decide whether you are ready to face the future, you have to answer a much deeper question. You have to rediscover who you are before the world tells you who to be. Remember: You cannot leave an authentic mark on the world until you uncover who you were before it tried to change you. Step inward today, so that tomorrow, you can step out as yourself. A student at Cahaya Rancamaya who is curious about his creativity, the world, and the expectations society places on young people. After many setbacks, he kept trying, and each attempt brought him closer to understanding his own path. Through his TEDx talk, he hopes to challenge conventional definitions of success and encourage others to discover their own paths to fulfillment.
