An individual approach to wellness | Dr Dixa Bhavsar | TEDxMRIS Charmwood Youth
Dr Dixa Bhavsar Savaliya, an Ayurveda practitioner and hormonal health specialist, describes her own diagnosis with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's and what it taught her about the early signals the body gives before a condition has a name. Drawing on Ayurveda and more than a decade of work with women's hormonal and gut health, she argues that awareness is often the first step toward healing. The talk was given at an independently organized TEDx event, and TED has noted that it should not be taken as medical advice. The talk presents the speaker's personal views on medicine, disease and healing. It reframes the question from which medicine is needed to what the body is trying to communicate.
